About
Edinburgh's largest theatre, a cavernous Art Deco venue originally built as a super-cinema in 1929 and restored to live performance use in 1980. The Playhouse hosts major touring musicals, international concerts and comedy acts across its three-level auditorium at the top of Leith Walk, with a historic stage designed for both cinema projection and theatrical performance.
