The Ferret is Preston's most established grassroots live music venue, housed in a Grade II-listed former spinning mill dating back to 1796. The intimate 200-capacity ground floor space hosts a varied programme of live bands, open mic nights and DJs, with a reputation for championing emerging local artists and touring acts. The venue was saved from closure in 2024 through community investment, and plans are now underway to expand across multiple floors of the historic Fylde Road building.
