About
Tucked behind a modest frontage on Shrewsbury's Shoplatch, The Hole in the Wall is a historic pub where a deceptively small entrance opens into a spacious, character-filled interior. Live music and DJ sets transform the basement bar most nights, whilst the ground floor buzzes with sports on screens, hearty food and busy social energy. Its layered past stretches back centuries, from a 16th-century inn to a debtors' prison, now settling comfortably as a modern local favourite.
