Located beneath Portland House, a 1926 bank building, Vaults occupies two original underground bank vaults with 6-foot thick concrete walls that still feature the original vault doors and metal security cages. The club spans multiple levels, with intimate dance floors below and an ornate banking hall above with marble staircases and sculptured pillars, creating a striking contrast between post-industrial basement energy and grandiose period architecture. Focused primarily on house and techno, Vaults has become established as one of the UK's leading underground venues since its transformation.
