An independent, long-running underground club occupying two floors of Curtis Mayfield House in central Newcastle, named after the late soul legend Curtis Mayfield. Established in 1993 and known for its multiracial, LGBTQ+ inclusive ethos, World Headquarters hosts a rotating cast of electronic and alternative music nights curated by local and touring promoters. The space is defined by its commitment to community over corporatisation, impressive sound systems, and a reputation for friendliness that cuts through the anonymity of big-chain nightlife.
